PALM PILOT ROBOT CONTROL
The Palm Pilot makes a great mobile robot controller because it has the processing power of a 68xxx and a great field user interface. The touch screen is much more versatile then a limited button keyboard or dip switches. Here is a simple example program which will allow a Max/Rex running one of the demo programs to be controlled with any Palm Pilot. Simply connect the Hotsink serial cable to the HC11 running the demo program via a NULL modem. The control program has for large buttons (which can be selected with a finger) for the basic robot motion commands (Forward, Backward, Left, Right, Stop).
